Mission Critical West’s experience begins where few Power Quality service firms ever end.  The principals of MC West have well over 25 man-years of experience in facilities design, mission critical applications support, complex UPS sales & installation, and site engineering.  Well over one hundred million dollars of mission-critical PQ equipment or service projects can be directly traced to MC West principals.  A sample client list for those projects includes:

These projects have typically been highly technical and required complete understanding of both client needs and the manufacturer’s technical advantages.  Projects can be as simple as a site audit or peer review of work already in progress by large firms lacking specific PQ expertise, or as complicated as complete turnkey design-build of a multi-megawatt UPS and back-up power generation plant.  Working with the client, project feasibility, budget & timetables may be established.  Specifications may be drafted along with drawings as required.  Critical equipment vendor comparisons may be requested.  MC West principals rely on strong credentials in project management, facilities management, site engineering, construction management, and  technical writing, as well as  marketing & general corporate management. To facilitate successful project completion, M C West retains licensed Professional Engineering (PE) services and holds a CA B License for TurnKey installation services (CA B793994).

Managing Principal

Principals at MCW have very successfully held such technical & operations titles as Principal Site Engineer, Plant Manager, Manager of Technical Services, General Manager and Responsible Managing Officer (Turnkey installations).   The managing principal for Mission Critical West Incorporated is Mr. Dennis P. DeCoster.  Mr. DeCoster is a graduate of Rutgers University with post-graduate training at Seton Hall, Princeton and Rutgers in law, marketing & engineering.  He also has a substantial background in multi-discipline mission critical project management encompassing all areas of engineering, planning, technical writing, installation and 7 x 24 service management.   Mr. DeCoster also specializes in strategic planning and MARCOM for various firms inside and outside the power quality field. 

Mr. DeCoster is considered an industry expert by Wall Street as well as industry trade groups, and has written many technical articles for the IEEE-IAS, Consulting Specifying Engineer, Power Quality magazine, Power Systems World, Availability.Com, Pure Power, Battery & Flywheel conferences, and a host of other media & forums.  He routinely gives seminars & presentations on a variety of topics but concentrates on power protection in a 7 x 24 environment.  Mr. DeCoster is the primary equity holder in MC West.
